The 34th International Conference on Computers and Industrial Engineering will provide an
intellectually stimulating and enjoyable environment where researchers and practitioners in Industrial
Engineering and other related areas can share their research results, experiences, and proposals on the very
important area of supply chains and its role in modern manufacturing and services.
The location of the conference is at world-famous Fisherman’s Wharf in the center of bayside beautiful
cosmopolitan San Francisco. The conference is a walking distance to Pier 39 and the docking station for
Alcatraz Island. Other nearby world famous attractions are Chinatown, North Beach, Golden Gate Bridge and
Park, Union Square, Wine Country, and Transamerica Pyramid, to name a few. The accepted papers will be
published in conference proceedings in CD format. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit
an Extended-version of their work for publication in a special issue of Computers & Industrial
Engineering, an international Journal.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
• Submit an extended abstract, 2-pages in length maximum, and a 50-word summary to be printed in the
Conference Program. Abstracts may be sent via E-mail as an e-mail attached file, by fax, or on a diskette.

• Identify your preferences in the technical area(s) of interest listed above (tracks) in order to assist us in
arranging your presentation at an appropriate session.
• Include the following details in your abstract: Title, Track (List above), Name of Author(s), Affiliation(s), and
full address of the corresponding author, including phone, fax, and E-mail address. We also welcome proposals
for tutorials, workshops, and panel discussions to be held during this conference. Please contact Dr. Yasser
