AIM and SCOPE

IJCC (Int. Journal of CAD/CAM) Workshop on Digital Engineering will be held
in Japan on Feb. 24-25, 2005. This workshop is also the 5th Korea Japan
CAD/CAM workshop whose former workshops have been held, every year,
alternatively in Korea and Japan since 2000. This time the workshop will
provide an international forum for researchers and practitioners in the field of
digital engineering so as to facilitate sharing recent research results/trend
among the participants. Topics for the workshop include, but are not limited
to, the following:

• Geometric Modeling
• Surface Reconstruction
• Rapid Prototyping
• Mesh Generation
• Tool Path Generation
• Feature Technology
• Computer Aided Process Planning
• Reverse Engineering
• Concurrent Engineering
• Product Data Exchange
• Virtual Reality Applications
• Virtual Manufacturing
• Virtual Prototyping
• Design for Manufacturing
• Web based design collaboration
• Artificial Intelligence for CAD/CAM
• Software engineering issues for CAx
• Industrial Applications of CAD/CAM
• Education for CAD/CAM
• Reasoning System for Design
• Creative Design
• Tools for Creative Design
• Service Engineering
• Methodology for Service Design
• Tools for Service Design
• Design for Sustainability
• Design for Environment
• Other emerging topic

Papers

Full papers (about 6,000 words) and short papers (about 2,000 words)
containing original and unpublished results in English are solicited.
The short papers shall also present young ideas, experimental trials and
industrial experiences. Submission of papers means that one of the authors
will register to the workshop and present the paper if accepted.

Journal publication

It is planned that excellent full papers will be recommended for publication in
Int. Journal of CAD/CAM (www.ijcc.org) as a special issue.

Submission

Email papers to Hiromasa Suzuki by
Sept. 10th, 2004. Acceptable file formats are MS Word, PostScript, PDF.
