Short Papers, animations and multimedia submissions -
FRIDAY, 22ND OF APRIL, 2005

Categories of Submission:
PAPERS -
Authors are invited to submit original papers reporting research contributions, practice and experience, or novel applications. Papers are sought in all areas of computer graphics: rendering, modeling, animation, interactive techniques, etc. If in doubt about the suitability of your topic, contact the papers co-chairs. A preliminary abstract is submitted a week before the full paper and all submissions are comprehensively peer-reviewed by an international program committee, as well as external reviewers. The program committee meeting will be held in Dublin in early April and authors will be notified of the outcome on Thursday April 7th. Conference proceedings will be published as an issue of Computer Graphics Forum, volume 24, issue 3, both on paper and electronically, and will be distributed in both printed and CD-ROM formats to all conference participants.

At the conference, an international jury will meet to select the three best papers accepted and presented at the conference. The best of the three will receive the Günther Enderle Award, including a cash prize. An award will also be given to the best student paper, authored and presented at Eurographics 2005 by a full-time student.

For further information, please contact the program co-chairs at eg2005-papers AT cs.tcd.ie.

TUTORIALS -
International experts are invited to give half day or full day tutorials providing in-depth instructions on a variety of topics in graphics and related areas, such as (but not restricted to) haptic interfaces, simulation, visualisation, virtual reality, and augmented reality. Tutorials will range from introductory and refresher topics to cutting-edge technologies. Tutorial proposals should be submitted in electronic form on the same date as the papers. Speakers of selected tutorials also receive an honorarium and there is one free registration per tutorial.

For further information, please contact the tutorial co-chairs at eg2005-tutorials AT cs.tcd.ie.

STATE OF THE ART REPORTS -
State of the Art Reports (STARs) covering topics in research, practice, and applications, will be included in the programme. STARs presentations are typically of 90 minutes duration. STAR authors may later submit their papers as regular refereed contributions to Computer Graphics Forum. Proposals for STARs are submitted on the same date as the papers, with a full report (15-25) pages submitted if accepted. One STAR author receives a free registration.

For further information, please contact the STAR co-chairs at eg2005-stars AT cs.tcd.ie.

ANIMATIONS AND MULTIMEDIA-
Details coming soon...

For further information, please contact the animation and multimedia co-chairs at eg2005-anim AT cs.tcd.ie.

INDUSTRY PROGRAM -
Industrial sessions will take place to present research projects and applications in Computer Graphics. Key industrialists will be invited to share their experience in applying computer graphics to solve industrial problems. We strongly encourage the involvement of indigenous companies in animation/digital media and related areas. Major companies in the field will also be invited to provide demonstrations.

For further information, please contact the industry program co-chairs at eg2005-industry AT cs.tcd.ie.

MEDICAL PRIZE -
The Eurographics Association organises a biannual competition to acknowledge the contribution that computer graphics is playing in the medical field, and to encourage further development. Submissions for the EG2005 Medical Prize are now being invited from researchers and developers who can demonstrate that a particular benefit has resulted from the use of computer graphics technology in a medical application that they have produced.

Full submission details are available here and you can contact the industry program co-chairs at eg2005-medical AT cs.tcd.ie.
