Algorithms for Approximation V, July 18-22 2005, at Chester College is the seventh International Symposium in a series of meetings on the algorithmic, theoretical and applications aspects of approximation and related topics held in Shrivenham (1985,88 and 88 (SSS)), Oxford (1992 and 95 (MANNA)), Huddersfield (2001) and Chester (2005). All of the above past meetings have been supported by US-EOARD and have attracted 80-110 delegates from up to 32 countries. They have been exceptionally well received and have had their proceedings published in prestigious books or journals, such as those by OUP, Chapman and Hall(2), Baltzer, Kluwer, and University of Huddersfield / Charlesworth. The organising committee consists of Professor Jeremy Levesley (Univeristy of Leicester), Professor John Mason and Dr Andrew Crampton (University of Huddersfield). Neville Ford, Professor of Computational Applied Mathematics at Chester College, will also serve on this committee.
