The 5th Korea-Israel Bi-National Conference on
Geometric Modeling and Computer Graphics

▶General Information
The conference provides a Korean-Israeli forum for exchanging recent research ideas and practical achievements in all areas and applications of geometric modeling and computer graphics. The conference is a sequel to four highly successful previous conferences, two held in Korea (1998 and 2001) and two in Israel (1999 and 2003). The conference provides a unique forum for the exchange of ideas and initiation of joint projects in a warm and collegial atmosphere.

The guest scientists from Israel are leaders in their fields and have extensive industrial involvement. We expect that the conference will attract prominent researchers, key practitioners, and research students active in this rapidly growing field.

The conference is organized by Seoul National University, Voronoi Diagram Research Center at Hanyang University, IT Research Centers (ITRC) at Ajou University and Ewha Womans University, and KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology). It is endorsed by KCGS (Korea Computer Graphics Society) and SIGCG (Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics) in KISS (Korea Information Science Society).

▶Conference Topics
Papers presenting new theories and applications in Geometric Modeling and Computer Graphics are being sought. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):

- Freeform curves and surfaces

- Surface and volume modeling

- Geometric algorithms

- Visualization and rendering

- Multiresolution meshes

- Computational geometry

- CAD/CAM applications

- Virtual prototyping

- Reverse engineering

- Shape recovery

- Image generation and reconstruction

- Internet related graphics and modeling

- Geometric and topological representations

▶Submission of Papers
Prospective contributors are invited to submit extended abstracts in English reporting their work. The final length of the extended abstracts should be no longer than five pages. We invite submissions of either extended abstracts describing new research or extended abstracts of high-quality papers published elsewhere. High quality extended abstracts that present new research are expected to be invited to a special journal publication that will be dedicated to this meeting.
