     Pamphlet

 
  The artworks submitted to this exhibition will be both displayed in the gallery and published in a separate pamphlet with color plates to be distributed around the world. Hence, it is recommended for the authors of artworks submit materials for both purposes.

  • For exhibition

    The artworks and associated textual descriptions will be published in a separate

    1. Images (IMG)

    An image artwork is recommended to have a resolution more than 3M pixels and recommended to be in bmp or tiff format. When such an image is submtted, the description of artwork is also recommended to be submitted as well. The artworks in images will be later developed by the organizers and exhibited on the wall of gallery.

    2. Handwritings of concept development (HDW)

    Handwritten materials themselves obtained in the development process of an artwork are also considered as another type of artwork. Hence, these are also valuable sources worth to publicise if appropriately submitted and selected by the committed of the exhibition.

    3. Drawings on paper (DRW)

    While HDW implies scratches or equations related to an artwork or even the development of an algorithm related to Voronoi diagram, DRW means pictures and/or figures which can be considered as a separate artwork. Such materials are also valuable resources in the history of Voronoi diagram in the perspective of both science, engineering and art.

    4. Videos or films (VDF)

    Videos and films can be also submitted. Artworks in this category should be less than 10 min. long and is recommended to be submitted in CD or DVD. Note that an appropriated codec should be supplied by the authors.

    5. Sculptures (SCP)

    Sculptures are also an important type of artworks in this exhibition, in particular, for artists. The materials for sculptures would be, for example, wood, paper, metal, bronze, metal wires, etc. For the more serious artists who may be rather interested in the artworks in this category should contact and discuss with Mr. In Hwang for the details at either inhwang@hanmail.net or +82-(0)19-224-6989.

 

  • For pamphlet

    The artworks and associated textual descriptions will be published in a separate pamphlet with color plates to be distributed around the world. The pamphlet is expected to be a volume of 128 pages containing photographs of artworks and related texts. Hence, it is recommended for the authors submit the following materials as well as the artworks themselves if they wish to have their work to appropriately appear in the pamphlet.

    1. Photograph

    In the case of HDW, DRW, and SCP, authors should provide photographs of their artworks before the due date to make sure the artwork appears in the pamphlet which will be distributed at the exhibition. The recommended resolution of photographs is higher than 3M pixels. IMG will be published as is submitted.

    2. Description of artwork

    It is recommended that each artwork be accompanied by a written description regarding on the philosophy, the procedure, the behind stories and so on during the development of the artwork.

    3. Resume

    Author should submit his or her resume when an artwork is submitted.

 

  • For historical materials

      In this exhibition, we want to collect any historical material related to Voronoi diagram and will share it with attendees to view the evolution of the Voronoi concept and envision its future. The mateirals will be returned to the owner after the exhibition. This material may include books, drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures, sketches, etc.

      If we are informed about any material, such as books, related to the history of Voronoi diagram that can be purchased, we will are willing to purchase it. Hence, it is strongly recommended to inform us if anybody knows any materials in this category wishes to see it at the exhibition along with others.
